Karl Rice is a true Southern gentleman from Charleston, SC. At the age of ten he began singing in church with his father. While in school he majored in Vocal Performance at the School of the Arts while still in South Carolina. When Karl was sixteen he helped form a local group called Holy City and the group soon found itself doing some 100 dates per year.
He later began a full-time career in Gospel music with a group called Chapter Four (formerly Heavebound) before joining one of the country's premier male quartets, The Anchormen, as their first tenor. The family relocated to be near the group's home base in North Carolina in 2006. Karl, his wife Daniela, and daughter Grace attended the Pleasant Garden Baptist Church in Pleasant Garden, NC.
Karl joined The Williamsons in October 2013 and the family now makes their home in Wetumka, Oklahoma. He is an outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing. He also enjoys spending time at home with his family and playing acoustic instruments. Karl is not only a great singer and songwriter but is also proficient on the guitar, piano, dobro, mandolin, and harmonica along with other stringed instruments.
